Not sure if this should go into the worklogs sub-forum, but it it should a mod will move it ;)

I'm building a mini-farm for the folding team and saved this lottery ticket dispenser for it.
The trays are just the right size to hold a bare MATX board. I've cut two 120mm holes with a dremel for fan intakes already. Now I'd like to figure out how to mount the boards. As I see it I have a couple options, but I'm worried about the static buildup that plastic can have. Here are the options and tell me what you think about my static fears:

1.) I use brass standoffs
2.) Skip the standoffs and use a screw and nut to mount directly onto the plastic
3.) Don't mount, just stick the foam sheet from the MB box underneath

As long as you use brass standoffs, it should be fine - but I would definitely get those.

Planning to do something to make it all clear again? Right now it's kinda scratched... Still cool though.

Planning to netboot these? It'd be really cool to get a 5 port switch in there, so you just have to plug in a lan connection and power and off it goes :D

How are you going to power these little guys? split PSUs? how are you routing the power cables/network/etc?

Personally I would get some 250w ish Sparkle's and stick them in the bottom and route all the cabbling in an enclosed piece up the along one of the fronts slanted corners.

If there is any modder here I should trust, I think you would qualify.
 
Your PSU will use a three-wire AC cord. The third wire is the ground. Once you plug your PSU into your motherboard everything that needs to be grounded will be. Hard drives etc. will all be grounded through the common ground system.

There are many total plastic case kits on the market; none seem to pose a threat to the computer as a whole.

If you still have doubts run a wire from the PSU case to one of the motherboard mounting screws, which are all ground points.
