questions about new machine

okay so i can finally buy a new computer and i've been going nuts trying to figure out how to get good performance:cheapness ratio. What ive been thinking is:

Corsair Value Select Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1G(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 -$155.50
MSI "K8N Neo2 Platinum" - $138.50
Sparkle Power 530W Power Supply, MODEL "FSP530-60GNA" - $75.50
AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 512KB L2 Cache, Socket 939 - $204.00

So i am not really too concerned with overclocking as i cant really afford fucking anything up and the cpu is the retail box which accounts for the bit of a price bump.

so here are my questions: Will i be okay with this ram as ive heard mostly good things about it for it being value ram but ya never know?
will i be okay with this motherboard? (id like to get a nforce4 sli board later but i cant afford upgrading my video card in addition to all this junk)
Should i go with an OEM processor and get another cooling option?
also would a 3000+ be much of a differance from the 3200+?

any other advice on how to knock down the price would be helpful
 
list the rest of ur parts.....u may not need a 530w psu....although dont skimp on it......

i dont think there is much of a difference between the 3000+ and the 3200+, i am assuming u are talking about the winchesters though - stock cooling should be fine

i think that RAM is fine if u are not overclocking

and most important of all, what are u useing ur computer for?, i assume gaming because u mentioned SLI but u never know.........and whats ur budget?
 
1) Yes, you will be perfectly fine with the RAM. I've done a lil' research, turns out to be cheaper than Kingston's Value RAM, so that's as low as you could get (I assume).
2) You will be happy with the motherboard. It is a true enthusiast motherboard. If you are *truly* waiting for SLI, to pack in two video cards in there, then I'd suggest you to just wait. They would be very pricey when it gets released.
3) Even with retail packaging, you *can* overclock at least 200 mhz and it would still be fine with no risk of overheating (well actually that case is more like *rare*). You're fine with your retail.
4) The only difference is about a couple percentage of difference in performance and of course, the price. You'll be happy with the 3200+.

sweet thanks for the help i mostly just wanted reasurrance and the powersupply is mostly for a little bit of expandability if i want to just so im not left high and dry.

my budget was/is around 500 and that stuff is like 580 with shipping so im not too worried about it... new comptuer here i come
 
I usually use Mushkin Basic Green for my "cheap" builds. Its usually the cheapest name brand RAM out there at PC3200 speeds. Currently its 67 bucks per 512 MB stick.
