questions about hardware config and options

Athlon XP 2400+
heatsink - Tt Volcano 11+ Xaser Edition
512mb corsair value ram - ddr (3200)
256mb mushkin - ddr (3200)
GeForce 5200FX

any limitations on my hardware as to what i can push?
i've heard not to push past 333Mhz...can i even hit it?

i was thinking of just doing the softmenu setup and slowly work my way upto say 333mhz...would i be wrong or right?

main question: anything else i need to think about before attempting this?
 
if i change my multiplier... will it stay changed or do i have to bridge connections and/or get a speed strip?
