Questions about coolant.

Hello all,

I am preparing a new system for water cooling and this being my first venture into it, i have a few questions. I am only doing a loop for my CPU, and i want to know if anyone has much experience with Mayhems Aurora, or Mayhems Ice White coolants. I am doing a black and white build in a gunmetal black switch 810, and i want to use one of these 2 coolants. I have seen some things that state you shouldnt use the aurora coolant for more than two months, but i also see some things stating that the coolant is fine after months and months of use.

can anyone fill me in with some details on the coolants? any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Yes, distilled water (with some PT Nuke) has been working great for me, for years. Cheap, stays cool, and stays clean.

I agree. Been going strong for 6+ months now on walmart distilled and a kill coil. I would say if you want to add color, then buy colored tubing.

Are there coolants out there that are better than distilled? Sure, but, I am not willing to spend money on them. I have $6 in water and the kill coil. Works fine for me.

I learned a bunch from the other [H] members here about reading what works, what doesn't and reading around on what other people have done and the FAQ that they put up. All of that stuff helps.

^^Agree...when I had WC'ing on my 775 rig...distilled water and kill coil...worked a treat...and I'm also planning to use it when i WC my current rig as well

Another voice telling you go distilled water and silver kill coil. Learn from the people who have been doing it for years and already made the same mistakes you could make.
