Question, running side by side CRTs.

I've got 2 17'in CRTs running side by side.

i'm on this computer doing whatever, i turn on the other monitor and this one flickers ??

they are not on the same power line so whyd that happen?

can that cause damage ?
 
CRT's cause interference when they set next to each other. It doesn't have to do with power or anything. Try playing with refresh rates, that usually helps.

First, try setting them both to 100 hrZ (If they support it). If that flickers, then try setting one of then to 60 hrZ. If it still doesn't work, try something in between (75 or 85). Just play around until you get it, usually you can fix it by playing around enough.

the reason you get flicker during turn on on one is because when ever the crt turn on. It actaully degausses itself. Hence the magnetic field makes the other monitor flicker but it shouldn't do it after they are both on.
 
yes em and my brother had both of out Desks in back of each other and the monitors very close together and we would notice like a line going down out screens kinda Like when you see a computer on the Tv, but it was slow and just 1 line, we just sperated them
