Hello all, I have a question regarding multiple displays and couldn't see that it had been asked before...
I have a eVGA GeForce 7600GT with a 21" Samsung LCD attached to it...the native resolution for this LCD is 1600x1200. I also have a 19" Samsung LCD that I'd like to use as a second display...the resolution for this LCD is 1280x1024. I'd like to be able to use both displays (the 21" as primary and 19" as secondary) and still do the following...
1. Run each LCD at its native resolution...1600x1200 for the 21" and 1280x1024 for the 19". When I use nVidia's nView utility, I'm forced to use 1280x1024 for both displays. I can use 1600x1200 for the 19", but then the auto-pan feature (lame, IMHO) is activated.
2. Expand the Windows desktop onto the second display. This I can do now, but, as I said, I'd like to be able to operate each display at its native resolution.
3. Find an easy way to switch apps from one screen to the other without having to drag and resize windows, etc. In other words, I'm not looking to expand apps across both desktops. I'd like to be able to, say, play WoW on one and browse the web via the other.
I've tried both nVidia's nView utility and the Ultramon utility and, thus far, I've not had luck w/ either. Can someone recommend a product (I wouldn't mind paying for it, BTW) that I can use to accomplish what I'm wanting to do or am I looking at buying 2 of the same monitor?
Thanks in advance, everyone.
