Question on PSU.

I am going to be doing a conversion of my system from AMD to Intel (see sig.) and I need to know which PSU and how many watts would be perfect. Im not up-to-par on the railings of PSU 's and that sort of thing so all the help and opinions are welcomed and much appreciated.

Amd Athlon 3800+ X2 and a 250 watt PSU currently.

I've got an Intel DG33TL motherboard and Q6700 sitting on my headboard awaiting a bigger psu and vidcard..

You can't go wrong with the Corsair 520HX. Its more than enough power for your system, and will last you a while.

I noticed your sig says you have a 550w Antec Truepower, but your above post says you have a 250w PSU. Which is it?

Um, okay. So, I'll ask again: which do you actually have; the 250w or the 550w? You're falling victim to Pronoun's Disease. The 'it' is in question.

Either way, the 520HX is what you're looking for, and should do fine.
