I am going to be doing a conversion of my system from AMD to Intel (see sig.) and I need to know which PSU and how many watts would be perfect. Im not up-to-par on the railings of PSU 's and that sort of thing so all the help and opinions are welcomed and much appreciated.
 
well it would help if you told us what you were going to :p , Specs on what you are thinking of going with on the intel platform
 
Its in my sig...

Amd Athlon 3800+ X2 and a 250 watt PSU currently.

I've got an Intel DG33TL motherboard and Q6700 sitting on my headboard awaiting a bigger psu and vidcard..
 
It was a project inwhich fell through at the time. I had it ordered and it was out of stock.

Um, okay. So, I'll ask again: which do you actually have; the 250w or the 550w? You're falling victim to Pronoun's Disease. The 'it' is in question.

Either way, the 520HX is what you're looking for, and should do fine.
