Hey everyone! I am new to the site, and would like to know any information someone might have regarding my question. I have a SHARP LQ13X02C 13.3 LCD display I took from a broken Dell Latitude Laptop. I know the monitor works (The processor shot c.raps on me.) and I would like to apply this display to a project one of two ways.
A) I would like to install the display in the side of a computer case as a nice LAN machine. (I realize another laptop would be much easier, but, desktops are much cheaper to build on.)
or
B)I would like to fit this display in a custom fiberglass casing in my car(Between the front seat console and the middle dash unit that holds the radio, clock, head unit, etcetera.) I already have begun work on the car's fiberglass box and mounting and etcetera. The display would be connected to a computer installed behind the passenger seat. (For now anyways.)
However, the LCD needs a controller to convert the source signal, such as S-Video, VGA, or even RCA, to the LCD. I know that controller cards exist for these purposes, however, since I am new to LCD modding, I have no idea where to find a controller board for my specific display. (I've already checked the boards at www.eio.com and no one seems to want to give an answer, IF they have one.)
Any help you can provide would be great! Thanks in advance.
