When you go to Control Panel -> System

It says what processor you have right. I currently run my i7 2600k at 5 ghz. however it doesn't show the overclocked speed in Control Panel -> System, it shows the stock speed.

is this also the case for you guys? else i suspect my Bios.

Windows sees the processor stock speed rating and uses that. It says my 2500k is a 3.3ghz processor when really it flips between 1.6ghz and 4.8ghz. ;)

its windows im pretty sure windows doesn't recognize the higher multis. so if you just o/c by the blck or so you would see the change.

I've noticed that some W7 dialogs say I'm running my 2500k at 5.8Ghz. If only...
