Lets say I create a new library and i have it monitor three different locations.

Now lets say I copy a file to this library. Where does it actually go?

When you are looking at a library, it's not an actual folder, just a virtual collection of content inside the selected folders that are within the library. When you save files it will let you choose what folder inside that library you save it. You're never actually saving it to the library. When you're viewing the library and delete a file, it deletes it out of the folder it is in.

Actually libraries have a default save location. Go to the library and click on the locations link at the top of the Explorer window and then right click on the location that you want to be the default select the Set Default Location option.
