Question about UV dyes

I know there are a million threads here on coolants and additives, but Ive read them all and I still dont know what I should get to satisfy my requirements.
I need to create a mixture that satisfies the following:

- Prevents algae growth and corrosion
- Maintains good thermal conductivity
- Is highly BLUE UV reactive
- Does not stain the tubing
- Remains "clear"-looking (i.e. not muddy like some pics Ive seen)
- Is compatible with my swiftech STORM, MCW55, MCP655 and MCR220 radiator.

First of all, is this possible? If so, what do I need to get?

And regarding the UV dyes, there are a number of them. Both CrazyPC, FrozenCPU and Voyeurmods seem to have their own "fantastic" mixture, plus that they all carry generic ones. What is the difference between all of these, and which one is the best?

There's been some debate as to the effects of uv dyes with the Storm block. That stuff you linked when added to 1 gal of water as per directions, is only a 1% dilution with the distilled water, so it might be ok. I was looking to get some blue Pentosin anti-freeze @ $9.50/liter, but they want $14 for shipping so.....I'm going to see how well yellow food coloring works in regular AF.
 
I would avoid any dyes that have particulate matter in the fluid. If you read the directions on the Little River site it specifically suggests that you filter the liquid you put into the system.

What is the deal with this Pentosine stuff? Is it ver good for WCing? Can I mix Pentosine, distilled water and UV dye, and have a killer coolant without being afraid of algae, corrosion or anything? And the Pentosine wont kill the UV effect?
 
Pentosin is just ethylene glycol with blue dye in it instead of green. It has all the same anit-fungal/corrosion inhibitors just like any other anti-freeze.
The designer of the Storm block has suggested against using uv dyes and such, since the impingement jets are so small. Just something to consider when/if you do add the uv dye. But at such a small % of dye, I would keep an eye on temps for a month or so to see if any jets become clogged. :shrug /
 
The UV dyes and coolant at cool-cases-usa are completely water based with no particulate matter to cause clogs .
 
OK I see. So if I use any dye I should filter it, but if I go with the cool-cases one Im good to go.

Technically, would Pentosine, distilled water and concentrated UV dye be a better mix than the premixed one from cool-cases?

I would filter it anyway just to be on the safe side.
