I currently have a 19" Hanns G and a 9600GT gpu. I was thinking about getting the 27.5" Hanns G that is on Newegg, and maybe another 19" as well.

I have an extra pcie16 on my motherboard that isn't being used, and no onboard video. To set up these three monitors, could I just put in any old cheap pci card with two outputs to run the 19's, while the 9600 runs the 27.5"? Or does that create driver problems?

If I go this route, I'd put the 19's vertical, and would be gaming only on the 27.5. Basically looking to do it all on the cheap.

Thought I would answer just to give you a bump.

It is my understanding that the second card has to use the same drivers as the primary card. I have not tried 3 monitors so I am hoping someone with firsthand knowledge will jump in and help you out.

Yes another PCIe card should do the trick. This was mentioned in the other thread but worth repeating - in Vista you can only have one video driver installed at a time. If the same driver can't drive both monitors, you are out of luck. In most cases, if you stick with one manufacturer (Nvidia or ATI) you should be OK. Windows 7 does away with this, and XP did not have this issue either.
