Going to try Watercooling for the first time, made up my mind on a kit.

Getting this one and also getting this to go with it.

My question is, that in the kit it comes with a radiator, but I was just looking at this so would that mean if I purchased that one I don't have to use the one that the kit comes with or use both?
 
you could use both if you wanted, I would save the $50 and just go with one to see how well it worked first, especially if there's no gpu block in the system.. I don't really know how well that kit performs but it's cheap enough! There are definately better solutions for $200 though if you were going to get that extra rad and resevoir ($99 + $50 + $50). For that price I would look into the swiftech kits or possibly the danger den stuff. just my opinion though.
 
Later on I'm going to, just this is my first attempt at watercooling, and want to get everything at first for as cheap as possible to kind of learn the ropes. If all goes well in 3-4 months I'll be putting in at least $600 worth of watercooling gear.

Just need something to start out with and see how much I like it and the pros vs the cons.
 
just keep in mind that the thermaltake kit will in no way perform on the same level as a 600 dollar setup.

that thermaltake setup will likely give you similar temps to good aircooling.
 
holy crap... $600 might as well go for a vapochill. combine the $600 you're planning later with the $200 now and that's pretty much phase cooling.
I dunno what would cost $600 :eek:
