question about psu's

Antecs are pretty damn good. Try going to the PSU forums and getting answers there. The FAQ might also help.

what psu would you guys rec.?
thinking about a forton or and antec

depends on your system specs. what kinda proc / mobo / graphics card / how many hard drives you have. personally i have an antec truepower 430 because my old allied 400w only had 12amps on the +12 rail =/ didn't work too good when i upgraded to athlon 64

Antec and Fortron are both two of the best PSU suppliers out there. Ither one will serve you well. I personally like Antec PSU's the best out of any other. They have rock solid voltages, they run cool and quiet, and their backed by a name that can be trusted with an excellent warranty.

Either PSU will operate very nicely in your system. Antec and Fortron are both very respected companies that put out quality products. If you do decide to go with a Fortron, check out this beaut.. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-968&depa=0 . That is a great power supply for a very nice price.

If you decide to get an Antec, you might consider this one...

It costs a bit more but the rails are fully adjustable.
If you dont want to spend $100 on an Antec, check out this one..

cross posting is actively discouraged
Ive merged these 2 and deleted the third

Id recommend actually reading the FAQs :p

.Or as I like to say, PCP! andC

Phenyl Cyclohexyl Piperidine and Cooling leads to erratic power :p

Antec is nasty imho. I've had more than one, and they all sucked hardcore. I'd say either a Fortron 530 or any brand of Enermax. Both have proven to be quite nice.

W3RD! All the antecs I've used were not impressive at all. Enermax is my supply of choice. They're great!. PC Power and Cooling always gets good reviews, but I've never tried em.

Sparkle would also be a great supply, but $$$.
