My friend just picked up a BBA 9800 PRo at Fry's for $197.

His system:

AMD 2400+
768mb PC2100\
ECS K7VTA3 Rev 8.0
IBM 60gb 120GXP 7200
BBA 9800 Pro

Everything is at stock with ALL the latest drivers and chipset drivers. His 3DMark01 score is 12,259. Does that sound about right for that setup or should he be getting better than that?

Now I'm not saying 3DMark is the greatest but its a good judge to show what kind of increase you get with a different video card.
 
That slow ram is holding that setup down, so that score looks about right. If he had some faster ram and increased the FSB of the cpu you would be getting higher scores.
