Gents,
its been a very long time since I posted on this site for any advice or any technical help: prolly a little over 2 years to be exact that I haven't touched a normal computer that wasn't GENSER or any form of military communications terminal. Currently I own a Athlon XP mobile 2500+ with an ABIT NF7-S Desktop computer I built a while back overclocked to 2.5ghz. So I purchased some new parts for a new system. Doing a little research Intel is now the way to go. So I purchased a intel q9550 cpu with an E0 stepping 4gb of corsair dominator ram a EVGA 280gtx, and EVGA 780i SLI ftw motherboard, and a CORSAIR 1KW power supply. After doing research on this I've been hearing very good reviews on this stepping, but very unfamiliar with how overclocking works now (doesn't look simple anymore where u just set multi xfsb anymore) is there a thread I can get directed to or someone give me a good setting to try and test, that way i can get a idea?
Judging at the new coolers out right is it smart to change out the flimsy stock cooler or go with one of these giant ones?
