Hi, I'm going to be buying a laptop soon and I cant stand to not have a mouse. I will be taking this laptop to class every day when i go to college this fall, and I want to have a mouse to carry around with it. I've looked into the laptop mice (the really small ones) but i want this mouse to work for gaming when im back at the dorm also. So, i've been looking into this stuff:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=23-109-136&depa=0

Mainly the mice, but I think im going to get a keyboard with it also.

Here's my question:

I've never used bluetooth before, not even wireless. I see that the microsoft mouse/keyboard connect through a USB key type thing drive, which would be amazing for traveling to class, but the batteries cant recharge. Is the way the logitech connects to the computer through something like that usb drive? Or is it through the mouse charger. Thanks :)

My brother has the mx700 based combo of these, and it's really nice. The charging station is indeed the receiver, and you can connect it via USB only.

My friend has the MS keyboard/mouse, and I can say in all honesty it sucks ass. The scroll wheel is so friggin sensitive it's unusable in Firefox, and there's no way to change it. The range is about half the logitech's. MS's peripherals used to be good, but not with bluetooth.
