Question about extending front panel connectors

I have the LIAN Li V2000 It is a massive case and the front panel connectors arent quite long enough to reach the headers on my motherboard.

What is the simplest way to extend them so I can use these ports?

I was thinking of cutting and soldering, but that'd take quite a good amount of time.

This is probably the easiest and cheapest way around your problem. You can extend the wires to custom fit your rig, and then just sleeve them to hide the wires when you've finished.
 
eh i guess ill bust out the old soldering iron and some wire on saturday :rolleyes:

gonna take a good while, but should be nice in the end.

any idea what gauge the wire is?
 
About 22 gauge. Check on the existing wires, as it's often printed right on the insulator.
 
will give it a look saturday when i begin this task :/.

I'm going to look around my heap of junk and see if i can find an older pin layout that i might have around and just strip that and use it to extend the wires.

Saves me alittle trouble, but if not w/e I'll be [h] and do them all individual
