thinking of buying that

it only has 4 battery + surge ports.

now, if i plugged in a surge protector into one of those ports, which would house the cable modem, wireless router, wired router, and gizmo for my voip phone, would that be a bad idea? would that even work?

i would plug speakers, lcd, and computer into the other 3 ports.

anyone?

sorry if i didn't know, but i was curious :)

Doing it that way wouldn't cause any problems but I'd skip the Cyberpower and go with this. I'd be willing to be it actually has more power than the CP and it has an extra battery plug.

Also, plug your speakers into one of the surge-only plugs, you don't need them sucking down power during an outage.

cyberpower:

Watts 900W
Output Voltage 120V

apc:

Output

are you sure the apc has more power?

I'd put money on it. CyberPower is known to exaggerate the output of their products. Also, they use a simulated sine wave rather than a true sine wave, which can wreak havoc with some PSU's.
