I'm upgrading my system this week and I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and A64 3200+ on the way. Now I've heard that there are no ATI drivers for Windows XP 64. What exactly does that mean? That my card just wont work in XP64 or just wont work well? Am I better off sticking with normal XP or going to XP64 right now? This is stricly a gaming machine, mostly playing Counter-Strike, Halo, and Lineage 2.

I think it just means there aren't any drivers to take advantage of the 64. I am not certain, so someone can correct me.

ATi has stated that there ARE 64bit drivers "shipped" with XP64...past that they're not releasing anything until they damn well please i suppose =P

so are the drivers that "ship with xp64" any good? or will they make my games suck?

just stick with regular xp until ms releases xp64 officially, ati will have drivers by then almost certainly.
