Hello. I've been wanting to OC my e6700 for a while now. I'm not looking for anything crazy, but I've read you can easily get around 3.5GHz out of them on air. Well, I was looking around my BIOS (mobo is a P5N32 SLI SE Deluxe) and I noticed that there are "Overclocking Profiles" that ASUS puts in there or something. I was wondering how well these work. I've never overclocked a CPU before, so if this profile thing works, it'd seem like a good option for me, but if a manual overclock would be better or there's something bad about using the profile, then I'd rather do it manually. The highest OC they give you is a 20%, which would get me to 3.20GHz, which is pretty much what I want to do, but I just wanted to hear from you all what you think about the whole thing. Also, if someone doesn't mind giving me some tips on a manual OC that'd be great. I've read a bunch of how-to's on here and other places, but it seems my BIOS is always different and such, so it's hard to learn when the settings are all different from the ones in the guides. My specs are in my sig as far as memory and such. So yeah, let me know what you all think. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch in advance.
