Quantum Break тест GPU | Action / FPS / TPS | Тест GPU

Some cool aspects of physics here (keep in mind this is a translation so not perfect English):
Digital Molecular Matter described by specialists as the "high-precision in-system damage on the basis of the deformation of materials that can simulate the physical properties of any material, using the finite element method." This technology is used in more than 20 films, commercials and TV series, and the list contains some of the highest-grossing film in history - "Avatar" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Part 2 "and" Sucker Punch "," Prometheus "and" 007: Coordinates "Skayfoll" ". In the video game engine is also used not for the first time - now defunct LucasArts applied it in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, released in 2008, and its sequel that followed two years later. In addition, the DMM is integrated into several game engines such as Gamebryo, Havok Vision Engine and Irrlich

«DMM able to make any body - large or small, wide or thin, flexible or rigid - to collapse the way it happens in reality, - says a company representative. - For example, the timber does not break each time along the same line - it bends and splits in different places depending on the point of impact. The same rule applies to any existing material: Rubber bends and returns to its original position, the glass breaks into pieces on steel are dents, and plastic deformation. DMM even able to simulate plants and organic objects with 14 to set the parameters of the strength to save the volume.

Obviously CF/SLI isn't working at the time of these benches and probably wont be, forgot this is a Windows store game.

1080P looks doable but after that not so much, definitely not at 4K.

Why didn't they include gtx 670 and 680 in the test? I wounder if it would run on those cards.

is this DX12 or nothing special? A little bit of OC i should be able to match a 970 lol

I have read this game doesn't run well or at all with 2GB video cards. Only 3GB+

Kind of disappointing. I'd like to play this but those numbers make it look like it'll choke at 4K on my rig.

No Sli/Crossfire support, no exclusive fullscreen, unsupported settings, patchy DRM implementation... Windows Store is a bit of a joke.

Will this game be available on other services?

Well given some time it might get better/more efficient. Being a windows store game might not see quick updates like we get with other games. The game has only been out 2 days so there is hope.

Wow I see why the Nvidia users are complaining about the game. Here is an article from Eurogamer showing just how bad Nvidia drivers and cards are with this game. I'm running a R9 390 in my 5 year old system and thought everyone complaining was full of it. I would be complaining also if my card was 50% slower than the competition under DX12. I don't think you can blame the game as it runs perfectly fine on AMD hardware without proprietary black box software. It's really smooth on my system.

The silver lining is that it is obvious that Nvidia has terrible DX12 driver support right now. To be exact the Nvidia driver crash in the middle of the video gave me heart palpitations for a second there. Those are some bad memories that I hope to never relive. I guess that there will be a mass exodus to newer graphics cards when Polaris / Pascal launch later this year for GTX 970 users. My R9 290 runs so well under DX12 that I'm unsure that I will upgrade. I'll probably do it for the fun of upgrading. DX12 rocks!

What went wrong with Quantum Break on PC?

Video showcasing some of the issues. I run a 120Hz monitor so I didn't know about the fps cap.

Has Remedy fixed Quantum Break on PC? Digital Foundry explores the effects of the 27GB patch on PC performance.

Nvidia's DX12 drivers are worse than ever before for this game. AMD DX12 drivers are smooth as butter. Quantum Break is a Global Illumination test bench to see if your system can handle the DX12 lighting effects. No other game has this level of lighting effects. Nothing else on the market to compare it to.

In this game Nvidia's DX12 drivers are just damn terrible. You will experience driver crash after driver crash after driver crash if you're an Nvidia user. Get your stuff right Nvidia! The article compares the game to Batman, but Batman didn't run correctly on either hardware. It had huge drops in frame rate on both camp's cards. It is obvious here that one company has great DX12 driver support and the other GPU supplier just can't figure DX12 out. Speak up Nvidia users if you want better DX12 support! This is the beginning of the DX12 revolution. Demand better from your hardware supplier.

Video review to see the new options in motion. There is an option to cut off the console style upscaling if you have a beefy enough rig. The game looks a helluva lot better if you use the native textures, but once again it comes at a price as the lighting in the game is turned up to 11.

Game looks really good, and even with mGPU not implemented, my one old 280x card looks good at 1080. That card keeps on giving! Will probably get this game now.

So many good games right now... This, AoTS, Offworld!

Didn't AoTS got pretty mediocre reviews?

Quantum break looks great but if history is any indication I probably won't play it until 2019 and that's assuming it ever drops to steam sale prices.

RTS games are not in fashion right now, but with the non-cheating AI in AoTS is second to none, and then large scale gameplay is great.

For a RTS fan like me having to play through the lean years, having AoTS and Offworld (economic RTS made by the awesome Civ. IV lead designer Soren Johnson) released almost together I couldn't be happier.

Keep hearing about this game and the more I see the more I want to try it. Just waiting for a deal! Thanks for the info.

It will be a looong time before it goes on an official sale so you better hit up ebay or cheapassgamer for a code now while they last. At launch there were codes everywhere for 15-30 bucks because many XBOX users had no need for them.

Thanks, good to know!

Why is this game not tested here for DX12? It is a DX12 only engine for Windows?

It's a AAA shooter, but it's DX12 only and the launch was problematic with UWP issues. The patches have fixed it though. Good game.

Does it still require two overclocked 980 Tis in SLI to run at 1080p? Bonus question!!! Does it support SLI?

It does not support SLI. The only way to get 60 fps with a 980 ti on max at just 1080 is to leave upscaling on. I can play it just fine at 1080 on medium with a 750 ti if I use the 30 fps lock.

Meanwhile DOOM looks much better and runs at 60FPS at 4K with maximum settings on a single 980 Ti....

The developers didn't put any effort into the PC port, I won't put any effort into this game.

To see just how badly this runs on both the Fury X and 980Ti, I would avoid this game on principal alone.

A game can run 'badly', thats no problem... IF the visuals are there to back up the performance hit. Every video I see of this game, it looks like a last-gen title. It looks no better than the original PS3 release of The Last of Us or Uncharted 2. You can't offer console-quality graphics but demand Enthusiast PC hardware.

DOOM has shown me what developers can do with today's hardware. I feel kind-of spoiled now: I feel like no game has any excuse.

It certainly does not look cutting edge in all aspects but it is no where near as bad looking as you make it. In fact it is one of the best looking games out there so to compare it to last gen console games is absurd. It is of course way too demanding for the visuals and no one will disagree on that.

Maybe there is something I'm missing, but the game, to me, looks like a last-gen TPS with nothing really special behind it.

Looks rather awesome to me, the time dilation effects on multiple objects are somewhat amazing. This does not look like past gen to me at all.

This game is fun as hell. :) I like that you can pick the most messed up outcomes possible to continue the story.

How is this game playing on my card these days? Or should i wait till my next upgrade?

PCGameshardware benchmark had this result for PowerColor R9 280 Turbo 280
Max. Detail, 30 fps lock disabled (but UWP restrictions enabled): Minimum 21fps and average 26.1

The Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC was: Minimum 24fps and average 44.1

Important: That is older data before the patch 1.7.0.0 , unfortunately they did not test either of those at that point but as a reference:
Pre patch PowerColor R9 390 PCS + : Minimum 25fps and average 44.7
Post patch PowerColor R9 390 PCS + : Minimum 34fps and average 58.7

The developers didn't put any effort into the PC port, I won't put any effort into this game.

DX12/Vulkan are going to force developers to do a LOT of low-level memory management stuff they've never had to do for decades now, because 30 years ago people figured out that using higher level APIs results in better performance because us developers suck at optimizing code, especially when deadlines are in place. I find it not surprising at all the first DX12 titles are running into vendor exclusive problems, and honestly, you should expect a LOT more of that going forward. AMD/NVIDIA can't optimize via drivers anymore, so TWIMTBP titles are going to suck on AMD hardware, and GE titles are going to suck on NVIDIA hardware. Pretty much simple as that.
