Quadcore - when?

yonah is going to be 2 separate dice if i remember correctly? and Conroe is going to be 1 die right?
Everything is going to be one die, up until the 8 core procs... or so the roadmaps says.

Imagine the multitasking potential of 4+ cores. Also, hopefully there'll be more multicore optimised software available. It'll take quite a few processes to make all of those cores usage at 100%. It would be a big shame if by the time quadcore CPUs are available, games still use the one core. That doesn't bother me as I'm not a gamer. I really do hope however that CPU prices don't continue to increase as they seem to have been doing recently. To give you some perspective, an AMD FX57 here in UK costs just under 1300 USD.

a lot of the processors on the roadmaps that tomshardware posted were not single die ones. Most of them were mutli-die which makes manufacturing millions of them a lot easier and helps with yields.
