quad and stressing

If you're running prime 95 stress test is it normal for other programs that may be running to crash? Had my quad @ 3.6 ghz and under prime95 (small ftt) stress i noticed that wmp crashed a few times as did internet explorer. Never really noticed this kind of behaviour before when i was clocking my b3, this quads a g0.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be multitasking while stressing your cpu with a program like prime95, hence why people let it run overnight while they sleep.

I only ever really use Firefox and Winamp when stress testing with Prime95 but I've never seen them crash. I have had the whole system hard lock when the vcore was insufficient.
