Q9450 ncix.com entry

well, it's usually higher when not in stock... or is a new product...

it will probably go down fast after stock and some days later...

That price is going to drop soon.Also,Adam.C implied that it will not be in stock for months on the official forums.

yeah, and if you buy a product that doesnt have an NCIX SKU(6 digit number) then you will get locked into that distributor's item even if another distributor comes out with same chip.

Whta do you mean ?

Means that they're probably selling directly from a supplier and not exactly from their front, so a preorder would lock you to when these people get their stock, and not if more stock comes in earlier from elsewhere.

Drop Shipping.

So what will happen is that there is...

Distributor SKU 1
Distributor SKU 2

each of these is a different item on NCIX

Once the product comes out... NCIX creates thier own SKU and combines the two stocks together as one order item. BUT, if you ordered from one of the 2 original distributor SKUs you are locked into that Distributor and may not get your product on release date and could be subject to more backorder waiting.

$391? not too bad I guess
$392 CAD - is what, like $27 USD? (I know, I know, the dollar is down right now....)

Seriously, that's gonna be a good chip - should be a good Q6600 replacement, and OC much better. Can't wait to see some $199 incl. ECS mobo deals @ Fry's during summer!

Man, you're behind on the times...

As of, oh, thirty seconds ago, $392 CAD converts to about $382 US. Which is actually a good sign for Americans, as for a bit there the US dollar fell behind the Canadian dollar. It's no longer like pesos...
