I'm about to put in my Retail Edge order for the Q6700. Anyone own a 6700 AND a 6600? I'm just wondering what the practical differences are:
Does the 6700 have more overclocking potential?
Is there a temperature difference between the two that I should consider?
I'm trying to decide whether to buy a new motherboard when I get the 6700 and run that for a while or sell the 6700 cheap and hold onto that money until the new line comes out. I have an E6600 and a MSI P6N SLI Platinum now and quad core sounds pretty good but will I be missing out on alot with the new quad cores scheduled for Q12008 or will the 6700 be high-end for a while? Have a friend who will buy Vista and maybe the 6700 from me when I get it from Retail Edge and while I won't be making much profit(~$100 maybe) it will be the start of my next build fund. So, what say you, Hardforum?
