Hi, Have a question about my q6600. A friend of mine noticed that my temps between cores 1 &2 and 3&4 had a 11-12c difference. He recommended that I reset the HS and use some good thermal paste, which I did and I used Artic Silver5. Now my temps after running Prime95 for a 1/2 Hr are a 3-4c variance between cores 1&2 and 3&4. I am currently using a Zalman 9700 and clocked at 3GHZ.

Looks like you have everything all straightened out. What's your question?

i think so. prime95 only hitting 49C is good.

prime95 goes over 80C for me at 3Ghz, and over 70C at stock speeds. i have issues, i think yours is fine

I'd say my temps vary from 8-10 degrees between the same cores (I think). Is this a big issue? Some at 44, some at 36 at idle but load temps dont seem bad imo.

My friend told me its not a big issue, but something to be aware of, especially when the summer months come. From what I understand the difference between the cores shouldn't be much more the 7c max.

They should be a lot less than what they were.

You must have a smart friend ;)

Holy hot. What are you using for cooling? A lump of cheese?
