Q-pack Temp Sensor

Does anybody have a Q-Pack that actually shows the correct CPU temp.
Mine is about 10 Degrees lower than MOBO sensor in Celcius.
 
both are not correct...the mobo is no more accurate than the sensor (assuming you put the sensor on correctly).
 
How are you supposed to put the sensor on correctly? I got no manual or anythign with my Qpack, just the box and the tower...
 
I jammed the cpu sensor between the heatsink fins using a bit of cardboard.
The HDD one I just taped to the top of the drive with scotch tape.
 
once you attach the cpu sensor to the heatsink (try to get as close to the core as possible, like under the heatsink) open up a temp monitor in windows. then from that, just find the difference from the read out from the temp sensor and the software, mine is 10degrees. then just add that to the temp thats displayed on the case.
 
once again, you are just getting a false reading. I don't use my temp sensor because it is just a number that is probably closer to your case temp then the actually cpu temp :p

I am not sure I would put it under the heat sink. That might compromise the connection to the core.

Mine is on the side of the heat spreader with AS. It is also about 10c lower than read, for it to be closer to case temps does not make sense. And 10c sounds correct for it being on the heatspreader. So it seems like the readings from speedfan etc. aren't that far off

not necessarily between the heatsink and and the core. theres still a bit of the underside of the heatsink that isnt in direct contact with the hsf, thats where i stuck mine in. i figured that to get as close a reading as possible that it would have to be placed somewhere away from the fan.
