Hi all,

This is my 1st OC on the 1st PC I have built and i would like to know based on your experience what adjustments should I make to eeek out some more from my system..?

SPECs

MB = EPOX 8RDA+ rev 1.1 (a2)
RAM x2 512mb XMS PC 3500 (5.2.2.2) (sys bus 421 Mhz)
PROC = XP 2400 (11.5 x 210) 2425 Mhz
GFX = TYAN 9700 Pro M 365/330 (driver 3.10) (will try 4.10 soon)

vcore 1.95
vdimm 2.8
vdd 1.84

So far my benchmarls score are as follows:

3D Mark 2001 (330) 17,714
AquaMark3 41,656 (agp = 128mb)

[Sandra]

Dhrystone 9240 MIPS
Whetstone 3823 MFLOPS
INT BUFFERED 3255 MB/s
FLOAT BUFFERED 3102 MB/s

[ADIA 32]

Memory Read 3196 MB/s
Memory Write 1283 MB/s

At this point I am unsure which way to push - my system is not stable @ 11x 215 which I think is due in part from the vdd settings which are fixed, but I am not sure... Maybe I have hit the max stable OC but I would like suggestions if you have them.

Alright that's a nice OC for a first timer.
You did the Vdd mod, as well?

Try 215 x 11 again...but up the Vdimm to 2.9v

Set CPU interface to Aggressive...Memory Frequency to 100%

Your memory timings look good, but I would just suggest gradually upping the fsb and vcore until it is the highest and stable.

Well I kinda did the vdd mod I do not know how to solder so I used 2 SMD grabbers, electrically conductive epoxy, and a 680 ohm resistor. I glued the resistor into the grabber and then attached it to the MB. I went from vdd of 1.53 to my current setting.

I am currently set @ aggressive + vdimm = 2.9 (2.86 actual) + vcore 1.95 (1.96 actual) + AGP 1.7 I tried going to 215 - I upped the vcore 1.975 and it did not seem to like it. 3D mark crashes to desktop.

Are there other adjustments that I can make to get 215 FSB?

update

I went back to the FSB drawing board and give it a slight bump from 210 to 212 (3D Mark crashes @215) which made a big difference in my first test.

3d Mark 2001 (330) 17,714 @ 210 | 18,045 @ 212
