I want to do a push pull on one of my PC's, both fans are cooler master blade masters I think but one is slightly faster,

the first one from a cooler master seidon 120XL kit and is rated at .37A and has a rating of 600 - 2400 rpm (model # is A12025-24RB-4CP-F1)

the second one is from a old cooler master Hyper 212 EVO I have and is rated at .37A and has a rating of 600 - 2000 rpm (model # is A12025-20CB-4BP-F1)

the thing is I only have 1 4-pin connector for my cpu on my motherboard so would it be safe to just use a Y splitter and put these into a push pull setup on the 120XL.

the motherboard is a Biostar TP67 Extreme

thanks

Yes it's perfectly safe with those fans and recommended since they are both for same purpose and good to have them in sync.

This made me think of the old case fan/positive pressure debate...would it actually be better to have a stronger/higher static pressure fan in push mode then the weaker fan in pull, effectively putting positive pressure inside the fin assembly?

I think the lower pressure fan first because the second fan is pulling / lowering the pressure in front of itself. Best way to find out is try both and see which works best.:D
