I'm doing a purple themed build for the wife using my current sig rig and looking for a good cooler. So far I've found this and can't find ANY information on it other than the specs on that page. Would that work? She isn't gonna over clock or anything. I've also found these but they seem like overkill for her. Any help or recommendations ? Thank you.

Or would it be ok to get a mid range cooler and paint the top fin purple?

Do you have an aftermarket HSF or the stock?
If you already have an aftermarket one, why not just replace the fans with purple fans?

But yeah you can always just paint the fans ...

I'm keeping the after market for me. I don't have the stock anymore so that's why I'm looking. I guess I can use the stock from the new cpu I'm going to get. Just wanted to get her something better looking than that.

Buy a purple fan. You can paint fins, but don't paint the fans are you are very likely to make it slightly off balance.

Sounds like that's what I'll do. What type of paint would I use? Being the top fin I don't think it needs to be heat resistant cuz the top fins never get hot unless something is wrong.

I already had my eye on the xigmatek fans. Maybe the corsair fans now they look like a deeper purple
