Any advice on purchasing a new system? I'd like to build my own, but I don't have the time... sort of need a system for work and home immediately. I was considering this Shuttle system... just a thought.

Any advice on where to purchase a pre-built system would be much appreciated... yeah, I'm a newbie.

Looks like a sweet machine, but hella expensive IMHO. If you decide to get this one as-is (are you going for any of the options?), I say shell out a few extra bucks for the DVD writer unless you're completely sure you won't need it/won't regret not getting it. They are coming into the mainstream and the DVD media prices have dropped a lot lately.

I got mine thinking I'd rarely use it, but I was very wrong about that.
 
Thanks Tofu Drift for the reply... I'm not sure what I'm going to yet... there's alot out there. I'm trying to decide on platforms... Intel vs. AMD, Desktop, however which desktop.

Based on what I saw, the advice isn't much :D ; I don't know a whole lot about pre-built packages (but getting a CDRW/DVD Combo is so yesterday!), although I do take a gander at Alienware specs when I'm bored.

The momentum is with A64 right now. If you're a big gamer, there's arguably no better proc for you than an A64.
