So tonight i was on my computer playin some wow and all of a sudden i had artifacts all over the screen then the computer locked up and blue screened. I was shutting the pc down once i saw the artifacts. Well i felt my video card and it was burnin up, also was the cpu. I smelled a small burnin smell but it was gone quickly. Have a few questions now. How long does ThermalTake's RMA process take, and if I were just to forget about using that pump ever again, im thinking about going with a swiftech but then i would need a new resevoir for my coolant and couldn't find one on newegg. Any Ideas???


P.S.
The pump hasnt totally failed, I jumpstarted my cooling system and sometimes it would start, sometimes it wouldnt and sometimes it would cut off.
 
Does your system still start up properly? Burning is *never* good.

Go to jab-tech or petras tech shop and order a pump/res from one of those guys... Way better than newegg for enthusiast gear :)
 
yeah it starts up fine. i was typing my post on it earlier after it failed, but yes burning is very bad. actually im gonna go to my friends house tomorrow and borrow his old pump and resevoir. and.. does anyone know anything about thermaltakes rma process, like time wise etc. i went to the website and when i clicked the rma link, it took me to a webpage that was hacked.. seems like TT's site is gettin hit 2nite.
 
I've heard *alright* things about the TT RMA process.

2-3 weeks IIRC... But at least they GET you the product.

Call them.
 
well i bought the kandalf-lcs so does that mean I have to resend back the whole case or just the pump?
 
Probably the pump. Trust me, TT doesn't want to ship you an ENTIRE case back. It's too expensive.
 
thanks. im going to RMA the pump back but i did buy a swiftech pump to use as my main. the TT will be backup.
