PSU with rock inside?

I remember reading a review somewhere (maybe [H]) where they disassembled a very cheap PSU and found a rock inside to give it added weight. I cannot now find it - my search-fu is lacking. Does anyone remember it?

Oh wow, I've seen many fake components over the years but that's the first time I've ever seen a fake transformer.

It almost seems like more trouble to make a concrete transformer than to use like an undersized one and pad it with lead weights. Concrete makes all of that heat when it sets and it'd be easy for watery concrete to leak out of the seals.

Aww, I think the page got taken down. Following the trail of links just leads to a page not found error on HardwareSecrets.

Still, Concrete parts? That seems like more hassle than it's worth, why not just not add it at all?

They aren't actually making a concrete mold, they are just using a piece of scrap concrete or metal to give it the right weight. I've seen 'transformers' made out of cardboard. All of them are dangerous as they also tend to directly connect the AC to the circuit board and will likely blow the minute you put any serious load on them.
