PSU with -ALWAYS- on fan?

Kind of an oddball question...

I'm running a build through my head with a Raijentek Metis Plus case. The big issue I've seen with this case is the airflow is a nightmare because the PSU and exhaust fan fight each other. Reversing the flow, though, seems to work. With that in mind, ideally would want a PSU with a fan always running (at the sacrifice of noise, which doesn't bother me as a headphone gamer) to help exhaust as much case heat as possible.

With the movement toward passive modes and silence, I want the opposite....anyone know of any PSUs that would make a good choice for moving air instead of just being quiet?

Anything inexpensive would probably forego that feature first. Most high end stuff is built silent, but my Seasonic has a switch for "hybrid" and "normal" modes, Hybrid does the fan only comes on at 40% usage and above and ramps type thing, normal is on all the time

Yeah, that's the conundrum. I'd like a at least decent PSU, but hard to find quality+fan speed. Perhaps mounting a case fan to it....? Would probably void any warranty but I think it would function fine.

Find a PSU with the mode selection switch, many high end ones have that.

You could zip tie a fan to the PSU and it wouldn't void any warranties. Only opening up the case will cause that.

Yeah... not sure that would work in this bizarre vision in my head. Thinking I'd have to open it up and maybe dremil a spot for cord to connect to a mobo fsn header.

Our ZM1350 PSU has a button on the back next to the AC power cord receptacle that kicks the fan to full speed with a press:

This was a server PSU adapted for enthusiasts use (single +12V rail, temperature controlled fan) but still retains the ability to be used for server duties (multi +12V rails, full fan speed).

What do you mean? Exactly just like Tsumi & rgMekanic said, most of the modern PSUs have a switch at their back, which allows you to choose between "fan hybrid mode" or " normal mode (*always on)" .

Worst comes to worst, just unplug/cut fan wire of existing PSU and run to external controller, not too tricky.
My old enermax 465W from A64 launch days had a rotary trimpot for fan control. Pretty neat.

It may depend on the PSU, but I had a similar situation as yours and I bought a noctua fan and replaced my stock PSU fan. It was pretty simple to run the fan wire to the a PWM header on my motherboard.
