For the following:

Core 2 Duo E6750
G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
SAMSUNG SH-S202G 20X DVD Burner
Western Digital EIDE 80gig 7200rpm HDD
I was thinking about going with an 8800gts, or waiting for the 8800gt for graphics
All in an Antec p182

What power supply should I get?

Your system would draw about 300-350W at full load in a worst-case scenario, I estimate. Depending on the video card and if you overclock the processor, etc.

Ballpark about 1/3 of that for idle, so 100-120W idle and 300-350W load, I'd say a quality 450W unit would be sufficient to run that system and still get you in a good spot for maximizing the efficiency. You could put a 500-550W unit in if you really wanted, but it would be a bit less efficient at that power rating since you're only at about 20% load idle on a 550W unit.

Whatever you get make sure it has at least 30A on the +12V rail(s) as your system would probably use around that much, like I said, worst case scenario overclocked, etc.

However, I can't really find any that say +12V@30A or higher. They all seem to be like 14-22

Add up all the "separate" rails. Most units are really single rail. I don't remember why PSUs are listed this way, perhaps someone can explain this.
 
oh, so like a +12V1@18A, +12V2@18A would be just like a +12V@36A, and would fit the description?

Would SILVERSTONE ST50EF-Plus ATX 12V 2.2 500W Power Supply 100 - 240 V be a good choice?

Or does someone have a good suggestion?
