I have a 650TX currently powering the following with no issues. If I replaced the 5850 with a 7970, would this PSU still be enough if I overclocked the 7970 to like 1125 and 1575 on stock voltage?

- i7-860 oc to 3.2
- 5850 oc to 815Mhz Core, 1200 Mhz memory
- 3 SATA Hard Drives
- MCP655 pump
- 3 120Mm fans on radiators
- 1 230mm case fan (OEM HAF X fan)
- 1 200mm case fan (OEM HAF X fan)

You'll be fine even with an overclocked 7970. If you plan to add a second one though you will want a bit more capacity.

I have a 7970 with an EA-650 Antec Earthwatts psu with similar specs as yours except 1100t processor with 8 gigs of ram and no OCs and no pump. Runs fine and I'd be willing to bet yours would too.

I think the two cards are actually pretty close in power consumption no? Either way you'll be fine with one 7970 on that config.
