PSU problem

I've recently had some strange noises coming from my Corsair TX750W PSU,
It started a couple months ago, when I installed my watercooling system.

Every time I power my PC on, there is an electric sound coming from the PSU, the best way to describe that sound would be like the sound produced when unplugging an electric appliance that is powered on and working (yanking out the cable), it's a sound that resembles a short circuit. Well the sound lasts for a second then boots up normally.

The load:
4 fans 120cm
1 water pump
2 hard drives
1 optical drive
1 video card (HD7970)

Now whenever I switch to a 3D environment, like a game (Crysis, Mass Effect, etc) or a 3D Benchmark, the PC freezes, could be from 5 seconds to 1 minute, but in the end it always hangs up.

Tested with different video card, and different RAM, the same problem.
Tested with another PSU and the problem is gone, so yes it would be the PSU.

the waranty is gone btw (had to open the PSU to clean it  :p)
So how bad is it? the PSU I mean, is it fixable?

Generally not a good idea to try and fix PSUs, especially if you don't have any electrical knowledge.

Contact Redbeard on this forum, see if he can help you out. He's the Corsair rep.

Well, I wouldn't try to fix it, but maybe some electronics technician :p

Thanx I'll try to contact Redbeard
