PSU not enough?

I recently purchased a Antec Earthwatts 500 to power my system thinking that it would be enough, but recently I've been having issues with my USB not supplying enough power, making me think that I've got too much draw on the system.

What I'm running:

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
Athlon X2 5000 BE
8800GTS 320MB
1x WD GP 750GB
1xWD 500GB 7200RPM
1xWD 400GB 7200RPM
1xSeagate 160GB 7200RPM
(all SATA)
2xSamsung DVD-RW
6x120MM fans
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music

I decided to try unplugging all but the 400GB boot drive, and now the USB provides enough power to my G15 and G5 to not cause problems. Methinks I need a new PSU, but I'd like a second opinion.

Thanks for your time.

It's possible, but I have my doubts. USB devices use very little power. 2.5watts max, often times less than that. I would think that if your PSU was so under powered to not be able to power a USB device, that you'd also see a lot of other issues as well.
