Ok. Just got a new build all together and it worked fine for 2 days and then I turned it on to put a fan on the nb heatsink (couldn't find one that would fit anywhere around here) and turned it on and it booted up for a split second and immediately shut down. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to do it again. The standby light on the motherboard is lit and occasionally it will boot up and and immediately boot down and repeat that again then still nothing.

I unplugged everything in the motherboard and plugged it back in and tried removing components one at a time and never got any beeps after removing the ram so I guess it's not the motherboard. Someone I know told me it was most likely the psu and recommended me to go here and get a second opinion.

If it was the motherboard wouldn't I hear beeps if I took out the ram? I'm pretty sure the mobo speaker is working.

If your motherboard is bad and won't POST, you won't hear any error codes.
