Ive seen plenty of posts regarding the use of a PS1 portable screen in case modding and was wondering whether i could use the 7" PS2 screen for the same kind of mod and whether it would be a similar process to install it.

Also how could i power the screen through my computers PSU?

I'm fairly new to case modding, but am more than willing to learn! :D But fairly simplistic answers for now please. :)

I don't know anything about the PS2 screen, but if it has a car adapter for it, you can wire that straight to the PC's PSU. The car adapter will be for 12v, and the yellow wire on your molex connectors is 12v.
 
The PSOne screen was kinda special in that is was a true VGA screen with 640x480 resolution and it could be modded to accept the VGA signal from your computer.

Problem with most other screens is that the resolution is alot lower and cant be modded to accept VGA input, best you can do is to use the TV out with them.
 
How do you wire the PS1 screen into the VGA, I'm planning on going with this screen now as it will fit into two spare drive bays will it not?
