Project ghetto rig

I think you misunderstand the term ghettorig.

Ghettorigs are not ment to be crap, they are simply products of their environment :D .

So, going out of your way to order crappy parts will simply lead to a crappy machine. A true ghettorig is one that streches the price/performance ratio to the extreme, with an emphasis on keeping the price down. The off colors are not caused by mailce, bur rather apathy towards the external appearance.

IMO, your time would be better spent on either an epia project (www.mini-itx.com) or a HTPC made out of spare parts.

Also, id you still want to do the ghettorig, do it right. www.pcliquidators.com and www.compgeeks.com (or newegg refurbs).
