Yeah yeah I know, I am supposed to come up with some cool name for my project but seeing as this project is probably going to run over the course of the next few months I have not come up with a fitting name. I have already started the painting process, the pictures show the 4th coat of primer that has been wetsanded with 800 grit. I plan on going with a Black Pearl interior and either Orange or Blue exterior, I havent decided on the exterior color as of yet. With this mod, hopefully, by the time I am done it will be the home of my new system which will house the following:
Classic Antec Dragon Case
Biostar Tforce 4U
Opty 144
1gb(2x512) of G.Skill Ram
Hitachi Deskstar 7k80
Evga 6800GS
Lite-On DvD-RW
and be powered by Either a Seasonic S12-500 or and Enermax Liberty 500
For the time being this will have to do with the bugdet that I have. Once I start making more money then I will add another DVD-ROM in there, a 5 1/4" bay fan controller and a 3.5" bay multi-media card reader. There will also be a compendium of silent fans in there to help with the noise level as well as choice places of where I will stick 1/4 thick Sound Absorbtion material. I plan on modding the 80mm holes out to fit 120mm fans. I will be running 2 120mm Sythe S-Flex 20dba fans in back as well as 2 120mm Antec TriCool Blue fans up front.....
So here is my dilemma. Do I sacrifice the HDD cage setup in the tower for something custom built (you can see what I am talking about in image 11) so that I can put the 2 120mm in front of do I just cut it down to one 120mm fan in front and just leave the top 80mm? This is something I have been mulling over for a few weeks now. On one hand I could do a setup something like the one in the MNPCTECH.com Harley Davidson case and modify the setup so that I can still attach them like normal but would effectively on get use out of the bottom tray. Or I could leave them completely out to build my own personal HDD rack. Any suggestions would be great.
Now On to the PICTURES!!!
