Okay I just completed a build and went into BIOS to check things.
2 strange things occured.

One in the BIOS of this INTEL 945PVR Motherboard it identifies the Processor as a 3.0Gz processor but underneath it shows that its clocked at 2.8Gz, is there a setting that I have to change to correct this.

Second one is video related because as soon as I start up a get Video Screen corruption in BIOS and initialization screen. Video card is a 7800GT

Any help would be appreciated.

Temps in BIOS read at max 54C

Processor is an Intel PentiumD 830.

Thanks in advance.

^ yeah bios update is the first step I'd take. also with regards to the cpu speed, perhaps when EIST is enabled the cpu might show up as a 2.8 regardless of binned speed? I'm not sure...perhaps some other 6xx/pentium D owners can shed some light.

The system specs of this PC are :

PentiumD 830 (using a Zalman 9500 for HSF cooling)
Intel 945PVS Motherboard
PC Power and Cooling 510 Deluxe Sli Edition
2 Gig Mushkin Memory (2X1 Gig sticks)
EVGA 7800GT 256Meg Video Card (That I am assuming is defective and RMAing it)
Soundblaster Audigy 2 Gamer
36G Raptor
250 WD Storage Drive
Benq 1640 DVD Burner
Liteon 1693 DVD Burner
Zonet Phone Modem (As all he has out his way is dial up)

Not at the moment as I did not even load windows yet, plus I have to wait for either the cheap video card I ordered to arrive or the RMA to come back to me.
