I finally got my X850 XT in, but I'm having some problems.

Aquamark keeps erroring out - I get this message after the last test:



And I was messing with ATI Tool, I told it to find the Max Core Speed and it starts testing, and I'm checking website while it's testing, and 9 minutes or so in, my screen goes black and is totally frozen.

System Specs:

PCP&C 510W PCI-E
ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
AMD X2 4400+
2 x 1GB Ballistix
X850 XT with ATI Silencer 5 Rev 2

While ATI Tool was running, the GPU temp was about 59 C
 
I have the exact same hardware as you, everything identical. I cant run aquamark myself. I can run 3d mark and all the games that I want but aquamark does not run or I get like 20 seconds in and it freezes. So its not just you.
RE: ATItool... fire it back up and it will say that it got interupted and at what clock speed. This means the cpu is over the max stable overclock. The settings will let put in manual stops for the autooverclocking. Obvioiusly you should put yours 5-10 mghz below where it locked up. You temps are high on the card to give you an idea of what I run 47 while running BF2 and 33-34 idel. Its hot here 90ish and I dont have ac so I would guess inside the house its 80 or so. I also have all 21 decibal fans in my case so its not high flow.
 
I don't know about the error, but for the max core testing it sounds like the card hits its max speed and crashes, so the ati driver tries to reset it (VPU Recover). I've learned that if you give it a little while it does manage to reset your video card and ati tool says "last working speed"

how long is a little while?
I waited about 2-3 minutes

after I did a hard reset and got back to windows, ATI Tool came up and said it has to close unexpectedly and gave me the last stable OC - just under 560
