problems with startup after WC install

ok searched the threads, found one post about the same issue, no fix.

Just installed Swiftech's Ultra + water cooling kit, and went to boot up and nothing came to monitor. Cables are plugged in on both ends, monitor has power. Green LED at the bottom of my Mobo (Asus A8N SLI series) is showing, but there is no send/receive lights coming from my ethernet ports. Before i installed the system, there was a beep after a couple seconds from my PC into startup, id imagine this was the finishing of POST, but i could be wrong. Either way, it no longer made that beep. Hard drive has both SATA cables attached, no molex ( thats right isnt it?) and the whole WC sytem works and circulates water. All my fans, including Rad fans, start up just fine.

Any ideas? I'm fresh out, i thought it might of been ceramique or compound (both arctic silver/ceramique) but the vid card seemed clean. The vid card is a 7800 GT, and the extra 12v for processor is plugged in, but its a single card, so i dont need the SLI 12v. I heard somewhere that for the vid card to work you needed to put some sort of jumper into the fan power input on the vid card, this true?

Ok so with no video card, or sound card attached to the system, there still is no beep. i know the case cables are all connected (power LED, power sw, Speaker, etc) cuz otherwise i wouldnt be able to turn the dang thing on. anybody got anyything?

try plugging a random fan into the CPU fan header and booting, some mobos wont boot without a fan on CPU
try plugging the video cards stock cooler in and prop it up so it dont short anything
otherwise look around and see if there are any puddles on computer components or the mobo isnt shorting to the case
