ok. so i've got a SMC wireless card(smc2635w). i installed the software that came with it, boingo. i'm running the newest version 1.2. it'll detect my network and i'll be able to connect to it, but a few seconds later it'll disconnect.
i just can't seem to figure out why this is happening. running driver versions 1.79. any ideas?

Sounds more like an encryption mismatch or some other security settings, not jiving together.

yeh. i wondered about that too, but i took all the encryption off. so its just a ssid with no wep key.

Are there any other networks showing up, like your neighbors?

i'm the only one around here that has wireless. i live in an old person's neighborhood, everyone else just uses dialup.
