Hi all..

I have a quite old PC, and I thought I should buy a cheap GPU for playing some newer games decently before making a big upgrade for VIsta and DX10 cards..

here's my current specs:

AMD Athlon XP 1600 @ 1.41 GHZ
Asus A7V266 AGP x4 motherboard
512 MB RAM
Asus GeForce2 GTS 32 MB gfx card

the "new" card is a PowerColor 9600 PRO Ez..
http://www.powercolor.com/global/main_product_detail.asp?id=123

after installing, Windows starts loading fine, but after 10 seconds inside windows XP SP2, the screen turns black, and I can't see anything :S

I tried the latest drivers from the Powercolor site, but not much changed..

Any ideas guys? Maybe updating the mobo BIOS ??

Thanks in advance

did you clear the nvidia drivers before you installed the ati drivers?
I think the program is called nvclear or something.

Also make sure you've installed the AGP driver for your motherboard.
