Here's the specs of my rig:
IC7
P4 3.0c
2x256 corsair PC3500 bh-5
Maxtor 60gb 8mb
GF4 Ti4200

now the problem.......The PC turns on for like a split second and shuts off,it just keeps doing it over and over again....on...off...on...off...you get the point,I reset cmos, replaced the mobo, switched cpu's,tried a different vid card, took all the water **** out and went back to air,and I still get nothing, this rig has never been OC'ed,one day I turned it on and the screen would start blinking black for like a second and then it would stay black longer and longer and till there was no picture,so I restarted the pc and I could hear everything but there was nothing showing up on the monitor,so I replaced the vid card, still nothing,I swapped cpu's nothing, sent mobo in for RMA still nothing, tried a diferent monitor, and still nothing If anyone can help me solve this you'll definately be on my A+ list.I have ran out of ideas so feel free to tell me any suggestions,Thanks

Have you tried a different psu in the rig?
Also look for anything grounding out in the case.

same boat im in, i think its the PSU,because i tried the PSU in my brothers rig in my machine and it wont fire.

I'm going to point at the PSU as well. I doubt it's the ram. I have yet to see bad ram cause a computer to shut off immediately after powering on. The symptom you describe sounds just like a dead PSU. As for how it all started, well, it could have been on its last legs, and the weird output it was giving could have allowed it to crawl to life one last time.

Aside from the PSU, the only other thing I think it would be is the mobo, but the PSU is the first thing you should check.

I'm down to the PSU I found a spare one in my closet so I am gonna give it a try,if that dont work I'm just gonna burn it..lol...thanks everyone for replying ;)

well I found a 200w psu and hooked up and and BAM it works......damn 550w antec took a shit on me....oh well time to hit the FS section..lol

Thanks everyone!!!!
