Problem with Memory Usage...yet agian

Ok I first made a post here:

Refering how I thought it was my graphics when I used programs for long periods of time my mem usage of the problem would go up and up. I would get weird errors and such.
Same problem, different symptoms.

I thought it was my graphics card so it influenced me to finnally buy a new card, from my old sapphire 9800 I switched to a Nvidia 6800 Ultra.

When I leave programs on for a while (3...4 hours) the memory usage goes up from...30k to...up to 600k. Have had this problem with other programs as well. I know its not my memory because I had this problem before and now still have it with my new 1 gig stick.

Rig:
MSI KT6V Motherboard
AMD Athlon xp 3200+
1256mb ram (1 gig and 1 256 stick)
Nvida 6800 Ultra
Windows XP

Windows updates are up-to-date.
Latest Nvidia drivers.
Updated my motherboard drivers as well.
 
What are the programs in question? Is the memory usage for individual programs rising, or the whole system? How are you observing that memory usage? That is, with what value in what tool?

30k isn't much memory at all. Do you really mean 30 megs?

Is the handle count going up, too?

Memory usage isn't a hardware problem.
